According to Luke 10: 1-12: The Mission of the Seventy-two
1 And after he said these (things) the lord appointed seventy[-two] others and sent them two by [two] before his face into each city and place to which he was going to go. 2 And he said to them, "Indeed the harvest (is) great, but the workers few: therefore pray to the lord of the harvest that he send out workers into his harvest. 3 Go: behold I send you like lambs into the midst of wolves. 4 Do not carry a purse, nor a bag, nor sandals, and greet* no one on the road. 5 Into whatever house you go, first say, 'Peace to this house.' 6 And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on him: but if not so, it will return to you. 7 But remain in that house eating and drinking what (is) before them: for the worker is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house. 8 And in whatever city you go and they welcome you, eat what is put before you. 9 And heal those in their weaknesses and say to them, 'The kingdom of God is coming on you.' 10 But into whatever city you go and they do not welcome you, go into its streets (and) say, 11 'And we wipe off the dust that collected on (our) feet from your city (in protest) to you: yet you know this(,) that the kingdom of God is coming.' 12 I tell you that Sodom in that day (of judgment) will be more tolerable than that city.

According to Luke 10: 13-16: Woes to Unrepentant Cities
13 "Woe to you, Chorazin, woe to you, Bethsaida; because if the miracles that happened in you had happened in Tyre and Sidon, long ago they would have sat in sackcloth and ashes (and) turned back. 14 Yet it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you. 15 And you, Capernaum,
Will you go up to leave? You will descend to hades.
16 And he who hears you hears me, and he who rejects you rejects me: but he who rejects me rejects him who sent me."

According to Luke 10: 17-20: The Return of the Seventy-two
17 And the seventy[-two] returned with joy saying, "Lord, even the demons obey us in your name." 18 But he said to them, "I saw Satan falling from heaven like a star. 19 Behold (I gave) you twelve the power to trample on snakes and scorpions, and on all the power of the enemy, and let no one hurt you. 20 Yet do not rejoice in this(,) that spirits obey you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.

According to Luke 10: 21-24: The Rejoicing of Jesus
21 In that hour he rejoiced [in] the holy spirit and said, "I confess to you, father, lord of heaven and earth, because you hid these (things) from the wise and intelligent and revealed them to infants: yes(,) father, because thus is favor before you.
22 "All (things) have been handed over to me by my father, and no one knows who the son is except that father, and who the father is except the son and to whoever the son wishes to reveal (him)."
23 And turning to the disciples alone he said, "Happy (are) the eyes that see what you see. 24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see, and they did not see (it), and to hear what you hear and they did not hear (it)."

According to Luke 10: 25-37: The Good Samaritan
25 And behold an expert in the law who was standing (there) testing him saying, "Teacher, what is to be done (so that) I will inherit eternal life?" 26 And he said to him, "What is written in the law? How do you read it?" 27 And answering he said, "You will love the lord your God with all [of] your heart and with* your whole soul and with* your whole strength and with* your whole mind, and your neighbor as yourself." 28 And he said to him, "You answered correctly: do this and live." 29 But wanting to justify himself he said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" 30 Thinking(,) Jesus said, "(There was) a man who came down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell in with robbers, who even stripped him and laying blows (on him) departed leaving (him) half dead. 31 But (there was) a priest who was going down in that road by chance(,) and seeing him walked on the other side (of the road): 32 and likewise also a Levite [happened] through the place(,) coming and seeing him he walked on the other side.
33 "But a Samaritan who was traveling came on him and(,) seeing(,) had pity. 34 And approaching he bound his wounds pouring oil and wine, and putting him on his own animal he brought him to an inn and cared for him. 35 And on the next day when he was leaving** he gave two denarii to the innkeeper and said, "Care for him, and whatever you spend I will repay you when I return. 36 Which of these three seems to be a neighbor to the one who fell among robbers?" 37 And he said, "He who did mercy with him." And Jesus said, "Go and you do likewise."

According to Luke 11: 1-13: Teaching about Prayer
1 And it happened when he was in a certain place praying, as he stopped, a certain (one) of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples to pray." 2 And he said to them, "When you pray say,
Father, let your name be made holy; let your kingdom come; 3 give us each day our daily bread; 4 and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive all our debtors; and do not lead us into testing."
5 And he said to them, "Who of you has a friend and goes to him at midnight and says to him, 'Friend, lend me three loaves, 6 since my friend came to me from the road and I do not have anything* to give him:' 7 that (one) inside answers saying, 'Don't bother me: now my door has been closed and my children are with me in bed: I can't get up to give you (anything).' 8 I tell you, even if he doesn't get up (and) give because he is his friend, yet through his shameless persistence he will get up (and) give him as much as he wishes. 9 And I tell you, ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you: 10 for each who asks receives and the seeker finds and it [will be] opened to the knocker. 11 And who of you(,) if the son asks the father for a fish, and instead of a fish will give him a snake? 12 And rather if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 Therefore if you being evil know (how) to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the father[(,) the (one)] from heaven give the holy spirit to those who ask him."

According to Luke 11: 14-23: Jesus and Beelzebul
14 And a demon was thrown out [and it was] mute: and it happened when the demon left that the mute spoke and the crowds were amazed. 15 But some of them said, "He throws out demons by Beelzebul the ruler of demons:" 16 but others testing (him) sought a sign from heaven from him. 17 But seeing (their) minds he said to them, "Each kingdom divided against itself is made waste and a house (divided) against a house falls. 18 And if Satan is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? Because you say that I expel demons by Beelzebul. 19 But if I throw out demons by Beelzebul, by what do your sons expel (demons)? Therefore they will be your judges. 20 But if I expel demons by the finger of God, therefore the kingdom of God has come on you first. 21 When a powerful (man) is fully armed (and) guards his own courtyard, his belongings are in peace: 22 but as soon as the powerful (one) goes out he defeats him, takes his armor for what he did and they divide his posessions. 23 He (who) is not with me is against me, and he (who) does not gather with me is scattered.

According to Luke 11: 24-26: The Return of the Unclean Spirit
24 "When the unclean spirit goes out from the man, it goes through waterless places seeking rest and not finding (it): [then] it says, 'I will return to my house from which I left:' 25 and going it finds it swept and put in order. 26 Then it goes and takes alone seven other spirits worse than itself and entering dwells there: and the last (state) of that man is worse than the first."

According to Luke 11: 29-32: The Demand for a Sign
29 And when the crowd increased he began to say, "This generation is an evil generation: it seeks a sign, and a sign will not be given to to it except the sign of Jonah. 30 For just as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so also the son of man will be to this generation. 31 The queen of the south will be lifted up in judgment with the men of this generation and will condemn them, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold (one) more than Solomon (is) here. 32 The Ninevite men will stand in judgment with this generation and condemn it: because they turned back at the preaching of Jonah, and behold (one) more than Jonah (is) here.

33 No one lights* a lamp (and) puts it in hiding [nor under a basket] but on the lampstand, so that those coming in may see the light. 34 The light of the body is your eye. When your eye is good**, also your whole body is lit; but if it is evil**, also your body is dark. 35 Therefore pay attention that the light in you is not dark. 36 Therefore if your whole body is lighted, no part having any darkness, the whole will be lighted like when a light enlightens you (like) lightning."

According to Luke 11: 37-54: The Denouncing of the Pharisees and Lawyers
37 And as he was speaking a Pharisee asked him that he might eat a meal with him; and entering he sat (with him). 38 And seeing (this) the Pharisee was shocked that he did not first wash (his hands) before eating. 39 But the lord said to him, "Now you Pharisees wash the outside of the cup and plate, but your inside is full of greed and evil. 40 Fools, doesn't what does the outside also do the inside? 41 Yet give mercy (to) what (is) inside, and behold all will be clean for you. 42 And woe to the Pharisees, because you give a tenth of mint and rue and all plants and pass by the judgment and love of God: but these (things) ought to be done not to be present. 43 Woe to you Pharisees, because you love the place of honor in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces. 44 Woe to you, because you will be like unmarked tombs, and men [who] walk on top will not know."
45 But answering one of the experts in the law says to him, "Teacher, when you say these (things) you insult us." 46 But he said, "And woe to you experts in the law, because you burden the people (with) burdens hard to carry, and do not lift one of your fingers to (help with) the burdens. 47 Woe to you, because you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them. 48 So you will be witnesses and approve of the work of your fathers, for indeed they killed them, but you build (tombs). 49 Therefore the wisdom of God said, 'I will send prophets and emissaries to them, and they will kill and persecute from them, 50 so that the shed blood of all the prophets may be sought diligently from the beginning of the world to* this generation, 51 from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah who was destroyed between the altar and the house: yes I tell you, they will be sought diligently as far as* this generation.' 12 Woe to you experts in the law, because you carried the key of knowledge: you did not enter and stopped those entering."
53 And when he entered there the scribes and Pharisees began to have a grudge and attack him with questions about many (things), 54 plotting to pounce on him (because of) something from his mouth.

1 When he was having pity on them(,) the myriads of the crowd. so that they were trampling each other (to get near him), he began to speak to his disciples first, "Guard yourselves from the yeast, which is hypocrisy, of the Pharisees. 2 And nothing is called together which will not be revealed and hidden that will not be known. 3 Therefore however many (things) you say in darkness will be heard in the light, and what you say to them in the inner rooms will be preached on the housetops.
