Child of Immanuel, I would like to commend you on your translation of the Greek NT and the beginning of the Hebrew Tanakh! You're on your way to becoming a bible scholar and Linguist! ;D I didn't get to analyze your Greek NT translation too much, because my Greek isn't that advanced yet( I can still read Greek, but my vocab is limited). But I did get a chance to read a part of your "Bereshit" 1. I noticed that some parts, you decided to place an English form of a word, noun for the Hebrew word. For example, Gen. 1:1, You translated, "HaShamayim" into "Heaven", instead of "Sky Waters"( The more literal translation). Will you be doing that for all your translations? I'm just curious to know... Shalom VeChessed, Zach P.S. I rejoiced when you decided to change you M.O from "Adonai"( LORD) to "YHVH"! Also, when you changed "Iesous" into ' Yeshua". Here's a little tidbit for you to indulge if you didn't know already: "Yeshua" is a shortened form of "Yehoshuah" or "Joshua" in the OT.

Thank you very much for your encouragement!
I didn't know that 'shamayim' means 'sky waters'. I have a fairly run-of-the-mill dictionary that I use because it's relatively concise. It does not go into many facts of etymology. As far as my M.O., I generally try to keep everything very literal but sometimes I try my hand at polishing it into better English.
