To Philemon 4-7: Philemon’s Love and Faith
4 I always thank my God, remembering you in my praying, 5 since I hear of your love and trust, which you have in the lord Yeshua and for all the holy ones, 6 so that the fellowship of your trust may be active in the knowledge of every good thing that is for us in the Messiah. 7 For I had much grace and comfort from your love, so that the feelings* of the holy ones have been refreshed because of you, brother.
*Literally 'bowels'

To Philemon 8-22: Paul Pleads for Onesimus
8 Therefore I have much boldness in Christ to command you regarding what is right 9 I urge you more through love, being such a person as Paul, now an old man and also a prisoner of the Messiah Yeshua: 10 I urge you concerning my child, whom I fathered among the slaves, Onesimus*, 11 who was useless to you but now has been useful to [both] you and me, 12 whom I sent to you, him, who is my very heart**: 13 whom I wanted to keep, so that he might serve the good news for you among the prisoners with me, 14 but apart from your consent I didn’t want to do anything, lest your good be as (done) under compulsion which should be (done) willingly. 15 For perhaps therefore he was separated for a time, so that you could have him back forever, 16 no longer as a slave but because of a slave, a beloved brother, (if he is) so much to me, how much more to you, both in flesh and in the lord.
17 Therefore if you have fellowship with me, welcome him as me. 18 And if I wronged you in anything or owe you anything, tell it to me. 19 I, Paul, write this with my own hand, I will repay it: lest I tell you that you owe me yourself. 20 Yes, brother, I have joy in you in the lord: ease my heart** in the Messiah.
21 You, having done your obedience, I wrote to you, seeing that you will do it for the sake of what I say. 22 And also prepare a guestroom for me: for I hope that through your prayers I may rejoice you.
*Means ‘useful’ **Literally ‘bowels’
