According to Mark 1: 1-8: The Preaching of John the Baptist
1 The beginning of the good news of Jesus Christ [son of God].
2 Just as it is written in Isaiah the prophet,
Behold I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way: 3 a voice calling in the wilderness, Make ready the road of the lord, make his paths straight,
4 John [the] Baptist was in the desert and preaching baptism of repentance into forgiveness of sin. 5 And all the region of Judea went out to him and all the Jerusalemites, and they were baptized by him in the Jordan river(,) confessing their sins. 6 And John was dressed in camel hair and a leather belt around his waist and eating locusts and wild honey. 7 And he preached saying, "He who is more powerful than I is coming after me, of whom I am not worthy to bend down (and) loose the strap of his sandals. 8 I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you in the holy spirit.

21 And he went into Capernaum; and immediately on the sabbath he entered the synagogue (and) taught. 22 And they were amazed at his teaching; for he was teaching them as (one) having authority and not as the scribes. 23 And then there was in their synagoge a man with an unclean spirit and he cried out 24 saying, "What (will be) to us and to you, Jesus the Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know you(,) who you are, the holy (one) of God." 25 And Jesus rebuked him saying, "Be silent and come out of him." 26 And all were amazed so that (they) argue with themselves saing, "What is this? A new teaching with authority; and he commands unclean spirits, and they obey him." 28 And his report went out everywhere in the whole neighborhood of Galilee.

According to Mark 2: 1-12: The Healing of a Paralytic
1 And when he entered Capernaum again throughout the days it was heard that he is in the nation. 2 And many were gathered so that no longer (was) there room nor near the door, and he speaks the word to them. 3 And they came bringing to him a paralytic carried by four (men). 4 And not being able to carry (him) to him through the crowd they took off* the roof where he was, and digging they lowered the mat where the paralytic lay. 5 And seeing their faith Jesus says to the paralytic, "Child, your sins are forgiven." 6 But some of the scribes were sitting there and arguing in their hearts. 7 "How (is) this as he says? He blasphemes: who can forgive sins except God alone?" 8 And immediately knowing with his spirit that they are arguing thus in themselves Jesus says to them, "What (are) these (things) you argue (about) in your hearts? 9 What is easier, to say to a paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven', or to say, 'Get up and take up your mat and walk'? 10 But so that you may see that the son of man has authority to forgive sins on the earth--" he says to the paralytic, "I tell you, get up(,) take your mat(,) and go into your house." 12 And he got up and immediately taking up his mat he went out before everyone, so that many are amazed and praise God(,) saying that "We have never seen such."

15 And it happens (that) he dines in his house, and many tax collectors and sinners ate with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many and they followed him. 16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw that he eats with sinners and tax collectors they said to his disciples, "Because (why) does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?" 17 And hearing Jesus says to them, "The healthy do not have need of a doctor, but rather the sick; I did not come to call the righteous but rather sinners."

According to Mark 2: 18-22: The Question about Fasting
18 And the disciples of John and the Pharisees were fasting; and they came and said to him, "Why do the disciples of John and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast? 19 And Jesus said to them, "Can the wedding guests fast in that (time when) the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast. 20 But days will come when the bridegroom departs from them, and then they will fast in that day.
21 "No one sews new* cloth patches on an old garment; but unless he takes the new patch from the old (cloth) an even worse tear happens. 22 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; but if so**, the wine rips the wineskins and the wine is destroyed(,) and the wineskins; rather (put) new wine into new wineskins."

According to Mark 3: 1-6: The Man with a Withered Hand
1 And he went again into the synagogue and there was a man who has a withered hand. 2 And they watched him (to see) if he will heal him on the sabbath, so that they may accuse him. 3 And he said to the man who has the withered hand, "Get up(, come) into the middle." 4 And he says to them, "Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath or to do evil, to save life or to kill?" But they were silent. 5 And looking around at them with anger, grieving at the stubborness of their hearts(,) he says to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched (it) out and his hand was restored. 6 And the Pharisees (afterwards) going out with the Herodians plotted against him that they might kill him.
