According to Mark 9: 30-32: Jesus Again Foretells His Death and Resurrection
30 Going out from there they walked through Galilee, and he did not desire that anyone know; 31 for he taught his disciples and said to them that 'The son of man is betrayed into the hands of men, and they kill him, and being killed he will rise after three days.' 32 But they did not understand the saying, and feared to ask him.

According to Mark 9: 33-37: Who is the Greatest?
33 And they went into Capernaum. And when they were in the house he asked them, "Why were you arguing in the road?" 34 But they were silent; for they had been arguing with each other in the road (about) who (was) greater. 35 And sitting he called to the twelve and says to them, "If anyone wants to be first, he will be last of all and servant of all." 36 And taking a child he stood it in their midst and taking it into his arms said to them, "Whoever welcomes one of such children in my name, he welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me, he does not welcome me but rather he who sends me."

According to Mark 9: 38- 41: He Who is Not against Us is for Us
38 John said to him, "Teacher, we saw someone throwing out demons in your name and we stopped him, because he didn't follow us." 39 But Jesus said, "Do not stop him. For he is no one who does a miracle in my name and soon will be able to curse me; 40 for he who is not against us, he is for us.
41 "For whoever gives you a cup of water in my name because you are Christ's; truly I tell you that he will never lose his reward.

According to Mark 9: 42-50: Temptations to Sin
42 "And whoever causes one of these little ones believing [in me] to sin, it is better* for him if a great millstone** be bound around his neck and he be thrown into the sea.
43 "And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off; it is better (for) you to enter the life crippled than to be thrown into gehenna with*** two hands, into the unquenchable fire. 45 And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off; it is better (for) you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into gehenna. 47 And if your eye causes you to sin, take it out; it is better (for) you to enter the kingdom of God oneyed than with two eyes to be thrown into gehenna, 48 where the worms do not finish and the fire is not quenched. 49 For each will restore flavor to fire. 50 Salt is good; but if the salt becomes insipid, will you restore flavor to it by anything? Have salt in yourselves and be at peace with one another."

According to Mark 10 : 1-12: Teaching about Divorce
1 And going up from there he came into the regions of Judea [and] the other side of the Jordan, and the crowd walked with him again, and as he was accustomed he taught them again. 2 And drawing near Pharisees asked him if it is lawful for a husband to divorce* a wife, (for they were) testing him. 3 But answering he said to them, "What did Moses command you?" 4 And they said, "Moses permitted (a husband) to write a notice of divorce and send (her) away." 5 But Jesus said to them, "For your willful ignorance he wrote you this command. 6 But from the beginning of creation male and female he created them; 7 for the sake of this a man leaves his father and mother [and is glued to his wife], 8 and the two will be (made) into one flesh; so that they are no longer two but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together let mad not divide."
10 And in the house again the disciples asked him about this. 11 And he says to them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her; 12 and if she(,) divorcing her husband(,) marries another(,) she commits adultery."
*Literally 'send away'

According to Mark 10: 17-31: The Rich Man
17 And when he set out on the road one ran ahead and kneeling (to) him asked him, "Good teacher, what will I do that I may have a part in eternal life?" 18 But Jesus said to him, "Why do you call me good? No one (is) good except the one God. 19 You know the commandments: Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not steal, Honor your father and mother." 20 But he said to them, "Teacher, I have kept all these from my youth." 21 But Jesus looked straight at him (and) loved him and said to him, "There is one lack (in) you: go, sell however much you have, and come follow me." 22 But he went away sad (and) weeping because of the word; for he had* much property.
23 And looking around Jesus says to his disciples, "How hard (it is for) those having property to enter the kingdom of God." 24 But the disciples were amazed at his words. And answering Jesus says again to them, "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God: 25 it is easer (for) a camel to go through [the] eye of [the] needle than for a rich (man) to enter God's kingdom." 26 But they were even more amazed(,) saying to themselves, "And is anyone able to be saved?" 27 Looking straight at them Jesus says, "For men it is impossible, but not for God; for all (things) are possible for God."
28 Peter began to speak to them, "Behold we have forsaken all and followed you." 29 Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, there is no one who has forsaken house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or fields for my sake or for the sake of the good news 30 (who) will not recieve a hundredfold more in this time(of) houses and brother and sisters and mothers and children and fields(--) after persecution and in the age of the coming eternal life, 31 but many first (ones) will be last and [the] last first."

According to Mark 10: 35-45: The Request of James and John
35 And James and John(,) the sons of Zebedee(,) came to him saying to him, "Teacher, we desire that whatever we ask you you may do for us." 36 But he said to them, "What do you want [me] to do for you?" 37 But they told him, "Grant us that we may sit one at your right and one at (your) left in your glory." 38 But Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you ask. Can you drink the cup which I drink or be baptized (with) the baptism (with) which I am baptized?" 39 But they told him, "We can." But Jesus said to them, "You will drink the cup which I drink and be baptized (with) the baptism (with) which I am baptized, 40 but sitting at my right or left is not mine to give, but rather (it will be given) to those who have been prepared."
41 And hearing the ten begain to be angry about James and John. 42 And summoning them Jesus says to them, "You know that the rulers* of the gentiles lord it over them and the greatest of them rules over them. 43 But it is not so among you, rather whoever wishes to become great among you will be your servant, 44 and whoever wishes to be first will be everyone's slave; 45 for even the son of man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life (as) redemption for many."

46 And they went into Jericho. And when he and his disciples and a large crowd went out of Jericho the son of Timaeus(,) Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, sat beside the road. 47 And hearing that Jesus the Nazarene is (there) he began to cry out and say, "Son of David(,) Jesus, have mercy on me." 48 And many spoke sharply to him so that he might be silent; but he shouted much more, "Son of David, have mercy on me." 49 And standing (still) Jesus said, "Call him." And they called the blind (man) telling him, "Courage, get up, he is calling you." 50 And throwing off his cloak (and) jumping up he went to Jesus. 51 And answering Jesus said to him, "What do you want me to do for you?" But the blind (man) said, "Rabboni, that I may regain sight." 52 And Jesus said to him, "Go, your faith has saved you." And immediately he regained sight and followed him in the road.

According to Mark 11: 27-33: The Authority of Jesus Questioned
27 And they go again into Jerusalem. And when he walked around in the temple the chief priests and the scribes and the elders came to him 28 and said to him, "By what authority do you do these (things)? Or who gave this authority to you so that you might do these (things)?" 29 But Jesus said to them, "I will ask you one word, and answer me and I will tell you by what authority I do these (things): 30 was the baptism of John from heaven or from men? Answer me." 31 And they argued among themselves saying, "If we say, 'From heaven', he will say, 'For what (reason) [therefore] did you not believe him?' But (if) we say, 'From men'?"-- they feared the crowd: for all held John to be certainly a prophet. 33 And answering Jesus they said, "We don't know." And Jesus says to them, "Nor do I tell you by what authority I do these (things)."
