9 Let your eyes be on the field that they gather and go. Didn't I command the young men lest they touch you? And you will be thirsty and go to the shelter and drink from what the young men draw." 10 And she fell on her face and bowed to the ground to him and said, "Why do I find favor in your eyes, and you notice me and I am a foreigner?"

11 And Boaz answered and said to her, "Everything that you did with your mother-in-law after your husband's death was certainly told to me; you abandoned your father and your mother and your children's land and went to a people that you didn't know before. 12 May YHVH give peace to your work and may you be rewarded with peace from YHVH, the God of Yisra'el, to whom you came to refuge under his wings."

13 And she said, “I found favor in your eyes, my lord, for you comforted me and for you spoke to your maidservant’s heart and I am not like one of your maidservants.” 14 And Boaz said to her, “For a time eat here and you will eat from the bread and dip your piece in the wine and you will sit at the side of the harvesters.” And he passed her the parched grain and she ate and was satisfied and had some left over.

15 And she got up to gather and Boaz commanded the young men saying, "She will also gather between the ears of grain and do not make her ashamed. 16 And also make sure to pull out some of the bundles of grain for her and leave them and she will gather and don't rebuke her."

17 And she gathered in the field until evening and threshed what she gathered and it was about an eifah of barley. 18 And she took and went to the city and her mother-in-law saw what she gathered and brought and gave to her what she had left from her plenty.

And she said to her, "The man is near us; he is our one of our kinsman-redeemers."

6 And she went down the the threshing floor and did everything just as her mother-in-law commanded her. 7 And Boaz ate and drank and ihis heart was happy and he went to lie down at the edge of the grain and she came in secrecy and uncovered his legs and lay down.
